The first one went suspiciously well. So we’re doing it again. Saturday 24 October: four rounds at floating tables, out on the water at Nautilus Beach, in an early Halloween mood. Costumes welcome. Swim suits tolerated.

Four rounds.
All of them at sea.
WAIT, FLOATING?
Yes. The Bored Meetings are floating boards: repurposed windsurf boards with a table and shade, out on the water. That’s where we play.
2.5 hours, with proper breaks
From first question to final outrage, with time for food, refills and meeting whoever your friends brought along.
An early Halloween mood
Costumes are welcome, never required. Swim suits are tolerated.
It will get wet
The tables float and so, eventually, do you. Dress for the sea and keep your phone somewhere dry.

Teams play in groups of four or five. Come with old friends or come on your own. We’ll make the introductions, and you may leave with new ones.
4–5players per team
Coming together? One captain signs up the full team and adds every player’s name.
Coming solo? We’ll handle the introductions and place you with a team.
Just visiting? You’re in. Brainwave is open to everyone: residents, visitors and hotel guests alike.

Own the group chat.
First place leaves with bragging rights loud enough to cross the bay. Retell the final-round comeback often, correct your friends freely, and sign every message “Brainwave champions” until the next quiz. The reigning champions have had long enough.

02Can I really come alone?+
Please do. That’s part of the point. We’ll introduce you to a friendly team of four or five before the first question.
03What does it cost?+
The price will be posted here when sign-ups open. It covers your seat at a floating table, ice, finger food and the crew keeping things flowing. Bring your favorite beverages.
04Where exactly are we meeting?+
At The Bored Meetings on Nautilus Beach in Somabay. We start at 2:00 PM, and the tables are out on the water.
05Do I need a costume?+
No. It’s an early Halloween, so costumes are welcome, but never required. Swim suits are tolerated. Whatever you wear, assume it’s going in the sea.
06Will I get wet?+
Almost certainly. The tables float, so the whole quiz happens on the water. Dress for the sea and leave your phone somewhere dry. You won’t be Googling anyway.
07I’m only visiting. Can I join?+
Yes. Brainwave is open to everyone: residents, visitors and hotel guests alike. If you’re around the bay that Saturday, you’re invited.
08Who’s behind this?+
Brainwave is a self-organized community quiz, made by people around the bay, with our friends at The Bored Meetings hosting us on the water. It is not an official Somabay event. Just neighbours and guests making a very good afternoon together.
